Here I’ll count down my favorite of Daytrotter.com’s 2010 sessions and give a little explanation of why I chose each one.

#1. Adam Arcuragi
I chose this one because personally, Adam Arcuragi is one of my favorite artists since I found his debut Daytrotter session last year. This encore session is incredible!

#2. Dawes
I’ll not repeat the above statement, but this follows the same pattern. They’ve become one of my absolute favorites and continue to make great music.

#3. Chief
After seeing this band in concert, everything changed for me. The silky smooth vocal layering is enough to put you in a coma. Night & day is absolutely captivating.

#4. Miniature Tigers
Bullfighter Jacket is just one of those songs that instantly puts you in a great mood. This band has definitely created perfection on their latest album, and this session is a prime example of it.

#5. S. Carey
Taking all the right parts from Bon Iver, Sean Carey has found his niche in this side-project. In The Dirt is a perfect winter-song.

#6. Foals
One of the best things to come from Sub-Pop in years. Foals have mastered the art of making a pop record. Miami is the type of song to jump off of the record and into your head for weeks.

#7. The Kissaway Trail
While they didn’t include New Lipstick, this session is great. I can’t get enough of this band.

#8. Local Natives
While nothing can live up to the hype of their Gorilla Manor album, this session came as close as you can get. This band is pure euphoria.

#9. Cults
Upon meeting this band in Nashville during a show supporting Best Coast, I was blown away at the success of an act that had only recorded a 7” with 3 songs. Needless to say it was love at first sight.

#10. Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr.
Saving the best for last, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. can only be summed up in two words. Fucking Incredible. While attending this year’s CMJ Music Marathon in New York City, I had the pleasure of seeing this band live, twice. It was quite possible the best surprise band I’ve ever had the opportunity of seeing.
Wish i was there so bad!
